If you are taking cod liver oil, is it dangerous to eat anything else that contains Vitamin A and D?

Yep, thanks :DIf you are taking cod liver oil, is it dangerous to eat anything else that contains Vitamin A and D?
No it is not that dangerous. Though you take extra, not an excess of it, the body will dispose of it in various ways. Vitamins are not stored in the body, if they are not used by the body where needed they are put away.If you are taking cod liver oil, is it dangerous to eat anything else that contains Vitamin A and D?
no its completly safe. just dont overdose on the oil.. a safe and healthy dose is 2 tablespoons per day.

personally i take UTRA MEGA GOLD high potency vitamiz from gnc as well as codliver oil on the side. you can say cod liver oil is the substitue of eatin fish.
It should be perfectly safe. CLO is a GREAT addition to your health routine, by the way. Recommended by many of the leading health gurus.

Some vitamins are stored, leading to danger of overload, but I've never heard of anyone overloading on A and D because they were taking CLO and still eating A and D foods. Some A is antioxidant, which is excreted if not used, but not all. There has been a history of warnings that you shouldn't overdo A, just as there has been for iron. Most excesses there have been accidental overdoses by children eating too many vitamins though.

If you are concerned the symptom to watch for excessive vit A in the system is actually massive headache - like cluster headache. Then you may want to cut back on the CLO for a few days and see if it fixes it.
Not at all.

Cod liver oil is only a dietary supplement and cannot replace a healthy diet. If you take the recommended amount of cod liver oil you cannot overdose.

To ensure that you don't overdose on vitamin A never ever eat the liver of a dog or a polar bear because then you are likely to die from vitamin A poisoning. Vitamin D poisoning is virtually unheard of.

Pregnant women should never ever take more than 8,000 IU of vitamin A a day as this can cause birth defects.
